Tribe is a Responsive Pendant with a Corresponding App
Tribe responds to light and sound through a connected social phone app. By focusing on emergent technology, Tribe is ultra cheap to produce, making it idea for events and experiences.
NY Media Lab + Razorfish Connected Devices
The New York Media Lab joined forces with Razorfish to exhibit new connected devices around NY. See event takeaways here.
Wearable devices aren't evenly distributed in the market. We see gaming and QS devices dominating, while experiential and "leisure" wearables remain untapped. We developed Tribe with two goals.
1.) We wanted to create a wearable device that can retail for under $20. By making expensive technology, we're making it for the elite and contributing to an economic gap.
2.) Encourage human connection. Our phones and QS devices make us focus on ourselves. How can we encourage empathy and connecting with other humans?
Our solution to these two problems resulted in Tribe, a wearable pendant for fun and connection.
The key to Tribe is emergence. By using simple sensors and outputs in perfect harmony, we were able to create a powerful and responsive device.
Tribe is currently being beta tested and we are looking for more outlets for testing. Please do contact us if you'd like to be among the first to experience Tribe.
